PACE President Visits Tbilisi

The Presidential Committee of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE), led by President Lluís Maria de Puig, arrived in Tbilisi on October 30 to assess the implementation of the PACE resolution on the consequences of the war between Georgia and Russia adopted on October 2.

The parliamentarians will meet Parliamentary Chairman Davit Bakradze, Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili, Secretary of the National Security Council Alexander Lomaia, Deputy Foreign Minister Giga Bokeria and other officials. 

The follow-up to be given to the resolution will be discussed by PACE’s Standing Committee in Madrid on November 28.

The delegation will also visit Moscow for meetings at the highest level on the implementation of the resolution.
