Industrialists not to Run in MP By-Elections
The opposition Industrialists Party would not run in MP by-elections in two Tbilisi single-mandate constituencies, Zurab Tkemaladze, the party leader said at a press conference on October 3.
The MP by-elections are scheduled for November 3 in the Vake and Didube single-mandate constituencies.
Tkemaladze, however, said that the party would run in the elections for the Supreme Council of Adjara – the region’s legislative body – scheduled for the same day.
The ruling party, as well as the key opposition parties also said earlier that they would not run in the MP by-elections. The latter are boycotting the elections.
