Seven Local Groups to Observe Elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered seven local organizations that will observe the October 5 local self-governance elections, the CEC said on September 2.

These watchdog groups include: Georgian Young Lawyers? Association; New Generation-New Initiative; International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy; Transparency International Georgia; Students for NATO; Human Rights and Democratic Principles Union of Georgia and the Center for Promotion of Youth Initiative.
