Tskhinvali Wants to Postpone JCC Session

South Ossetian chief negotiator Boris Chochiev has called for a postponement of a session of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) currently scheduled for mid-September, RIA Novosti news agency reported on August 25.

The second round of the 51st session of the quadripartite negotiating body JCC was scheduled for September 5-6 in the North Ossetian capital Vladikavkaz.

Chochiev said that the South Ossetian side will not be able to arrive in Vladikavkaz by that time, but did not specify the reason.

The Georgian, South Ossetian, Russian and North Ossetian sides failed to agree on ?key issues? during a recent JCC session which was held in Moscow on August 17-18, and as a result the sides decided to hold a second round of the session in Vladikavkaz.
