Mine Injures Peacekeeper in South Ossetia
A serviceman from a Russian peacekeeping battalion was injured in a mine explosion in the South Ossetian conflict zone on August 13, Russian Interfax and RIA Novosti news agencies reported.
The incident occurred near the Georgian village of Kekhvi during an engineering survey of the area, Vladimir Ivanov, Assistant to the Commander of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the South Ossetian conflict zone, told RIA Novosti news agency.
The Russian serviceman has been hospitalized with severe injuries.
