Bagapsh Rejects Independence Talks with Georgia

Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh said on August 14 that the independence of Abkhazia can never become a subject of negotiations, Interfax news agency reported. 

?During the hostilities that were launched exactly 14 years ago, our people defended their right to independence and confirmed their choice at a referendum,? Bagapsh said.

The Abkhaz leader reiterated that he supports only a peaceful resolution of the Abkhaz conflict.
