Sokhumi Condemns Decision to Move Officials to Kodori
As expected, authorities in breakaway Abkhazia have strongly condemned the Georgian side?s decision to establish the Abkhaz government-in-exile, which is currently based in Tbilisi, in upper Kodori Gorge, and they have threatened to use all means to prevent the move.
?At a meeting with the President [of breakaway Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh], we have prepared a special statement saying that we reserve the right to undertake any action in order to prevent the [completion of the] decision of Tbilisi to establish the so called ‘Abkhaz government-in-exile’ in upper Kodori Gorge,? Sergey Shamba, the Foreign Minister of breakaway Abkhazia, told Interfax news agency.
The secessionist authorities in Abkhazia have for a long time been demanding that Tbilisi disband the ?so called legitimate Abkhaz government.?
