Central Bank Reports 10.9% Inflation

Annual inflation rate as of end-February was 10.9%, the National Bank of Georgia said on March 19. The figure stood at 10.7% in January.

NBG also said that it had kept its key interest rate at 11%. The authorities’ annual inflation rate target is set at 8% in 2008.
