NATO IPAP Assessment Group Visits Georgia

A group of experts from NATO is paying a fact-finding visit to Georgia to assess the  implementation of the country?s commitments undertaken under the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) with the alliance.


During the visit the delegation is planned to hold meetings at the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs, as well as with the State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration Issues.

On January 24 the Georgian Ministry of Defense presented a public version of the Strategic Defense Review, which outlines the Georgian armed forces? short-(2007-2009), mid-(2010-2012) and long-term (2013-2015) priorities. MoD will present a detailed, classified version of the document to the NATO team evaluating Georgia?s reform progress.
