Burjanadze Discusses Elections with European Officials

Nino Burjanadze, the acting president, held a series of telephone conversations with Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, President of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Pöttering and Swedish Foreign Minister Karl Bildt on January 3-4.

Burjanadze reiterated in the talks that the Georgian authorities were committed to holding free and fair elections, Burjanadze’s press office reported.
