Four Election Watchdogs Team Up

Four election observer organizations teamed up to coordinate monitoring efforts and established a media center on December 26.

Georgian Young Lawyers Association (GYLA), International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED), Transparency International Georgia and New Generation New Initiative (nGnI) said the media center, set up with the support of the Open Society – Georgian Foundation, would provide “timely and reliable information about the monitoring of the 2008 presidential election, advise voters on election procedures and collect information on possible violations in the election process.”
