Natelashvili Says Patarkatsishvili Copied his Election Program

Labor Party leader and presidential candidate Shalva Natelashvili has accused Badri Patarkatsishvili of stealing his campaign ideas.

Business tycoon Patarkatsishvili, also running for the presidency, said he would, if elected, spend GEL 1.5 billion of his own money on partially covering people’s gas and electricity bills, and their water charges in full, for 18 months.

?Mr. Patarkatsishvili has actually started to imitate our program, which envisages GEL 1,000 for the first newborn and GEL 2,000 for a newly married couple. We also propose that the business community pay consumers’ gas and electricity bills in exchange for tax breaks,? Natelashvili told Mze TV on December 18. ?We are very happy to see that our ideas and programs have become an example for others.?
