Burjanadze Tells Rice of Developments in Georgia
Nino Burjanadze, the acting Georgian president, held a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on December 4.
Burjanadze?s press office reported that the acting president had informed Rice about recent developments in Georgia, while the latter had welcomed the Georgian authorities? decision to allow Imedi TV back on air.
Apparently, Burjanadze stressed to Rice her commitment to ensuring that the presidential elections on January 5 would be free and fair.
