Georgia Imported 830 mln m3 of Gas from Russia
Georgia has imported a total of 830 million cubic meters of gas from Russia, worth of over USD 195 million, in the first ten months of 2007, according to the Georgian Department of Statistics.
In a same period of last year the figure stood at 1.4 billion cubic meters. This year, according to the Georgian authorities, the country is also receiving gas supplies from Azerbaijan. Georgia?s estimated gas consumption in 2007 was roughly over 1.7 billion cubic meters.
Georgia buys Russian gas for USD 235 per 1000 cubic meters. Share of gas import consisted 40.3% of entire imports from Russia.
