Burjanadze to Visit U.S.

Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze will leave for New York on September 27 on the personal invitation of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Parliament?s press office reported.

Burjanadze will participate in a conference of international female leaders.

President Saakashvili is also in New York, where he addressed the UN General Assembly on September 26.

Saakashvili is due to stay in the U.S. until September 28, while Burjanadze until October 1.
