Nordic, Baltic Parliament Speakers Visit Georgia
Parliamentary speakers from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden are paying a visit to Georgia on September 23-25.
Meetings with President Saakashvili, the parliamentary chairperson, the prime minister and the state minister for european integration issues are planned.
A roundtable, Democratization and Intensification of Euro-Atlantic Integration, will be held in Tbilisi on September 24. The prospects for economic and tourism development will be discussed in Batumi on September 25, the parliament?s press office reported.
The purpose of the visit is to acquaint the parliamentary delegations with the situation in Georgia.
