OSCE Chairman, Russian Foreign Minister Discuss Missile Incident

The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos discussed the August 6 missile incident during talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on August 30.
 
The OSCE said in a press release that Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos had informed Foreign Minister Lavrov of the results of fact-finding visits by his special envoy for this issue, Miomir Zuzul, in Moscow and Tbilisi. The OSCE Chairman-in-Office appointed the former Croatian foreign minister, Miomir Zuzul, as his envoy to look into the details of the missile incident.


Minister Moratinos said he, too, would travel to Georgia next week for a pre-arranged visit.


A range of OSCE-related topics, including the so-called protracted conflicts and the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) Treaty, were also discussed during the talks.
