Tbilisi Slams Russia’s ‘Reckless Diplomacy’
Russia is using “Soviet-style, reckless diplomacy” as it tries to re-direct blame away from itself over the August 6 missile incident, Georgia’s deputy foreign minister, Merab Antadze, said on August 22.
His comments were made in response to Russian UN envoy Vitaly Churkin’s remarks, claiming that Georgia had itself staged the incident to discredit Russia.
“The findings of two separate international investigatory groups into the incident make us optimistic that the issue will be discussed by all the major international organizations, including the UN,” Antadze told reporters.
