‘Terrorist Act Foiled’ in Tskhinvali

South Ossetian security officers recovered two explosive devices in Tskhinvali on August 1, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported.


Two directional fragmentation mines, known as MONs, were found, according to the report, 200 meters from the headquarters of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the breakaway region’s capital.


Officials in Tskhinvali said an unnamed state official had been the intended target.
