Hilton may Develop Hotel Network in Georgia ? Minister Says

The Hilton wants to have two hotels in Tbilisi, one in Batumi and a resort in Signagi, Giorgi Arveladze, the Georgian economy minister, said on July 31.

He said the government was now in the process of selecting a development company, which would develop a building in downtown Tbilisi, currently housing the Justice Ministry, for the Hilton Hotels.

Several options were under consideration, Arveladze said. ?If a developer pledges to also develop a hotel in Batumi and a resort in Signagi for Hilton, we are ready to sell the Justice Ministry building for USD 8 million.?
