OSCE Chair’s Envoy, State Minister Discuss S.Ossetia

José Borrell Fontelles, the OSCE chairman-in-office’s special envoy, met Davit Bakradze, the Georgian state minister for conflict resolution issues, in Tbilisi on July 25.
 
Prospects for future progress on South Ossetian conflict resolution and the importance of economic rehabilitation in the conflict zone were discussed during the meeting, according to the OSCE mission in Tbilisi.


It said the head of South Ossetia’s provisional administration, Dimitri Sanakoev, was also present at the meeting.


The State Ministry for Conflict Resolution Issues said in a press release that Sanakoev had informed the representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office about “his vision on conflict resolution issues, and in particular, he spoke about his plans to maximally protect the interests of the local population” in the region.
