Georgian, Azerbaijani Presidents Discuss Cooperation

President Saakashvili held talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, in Baku on June 18, on the sidelines of a GUAM summit, the Azerbaijani state news agency, AzerTag, reported.
 
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations in economic, energy and transport spheres, further prospects for boosting cooperation and the importance of GUAM – uniting Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova – for the development of bilateral relations.


President Saakashvili is in Baku for a GUAM summit, accompanied by Energy Minister Nika Gilauri, Education Minister Alexander Lomaia, Minister for Culture and Cultural Heritage Goka Gabashvili and chief of Border Police Badri Bitsadze.
