Crash Kills Two on Training Flight

An 18 year-old recruit from the Ministry of Defense and his instructor died after their training plane crashed on June 13.

The two-seat, small training aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from the Natakhtari airfield, near Tbilisi.

The Defense Ministry, which has a contract with Service Air to provide training to its recruits, said an investigation was underway.
