‘Invest in Georgian Banking’ Forum Opens in Tbilisi
About 100 local and foreign bankers attended a state-sponsored forum, Invest in Georgian Banking, in Tbilisi on June 1.
The forum aims at attracting more foreign investment in “the fastest growing sector of the country’s economy,” Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said in his opening remarks at the forum.
Economy Minister Giorgi Arveladze said he expected up to USD 700 million to be invested in the sector this year.
