Army Parade Marks Independence Day
15,500 servicemen, including 3,500 reservists, will march on Tbilisi?s Rustaveli Avenue on May 26 to mark Independence Day.
The Defense Ministry said the military parade would also include four newly purchased L-39 training and multi-purpose light attack aircraft and 120 KRAZ-type military trucks.
19 BTR-80 armored personnel carriers, as well as self-propelled cannons and four UH-1 Iroquois and 14 MI-8 multi-purpose helicopters; eight MI-24 attack helicopters; 10 SU-25 Frogfoot ground attack aircraft will also participate in the parade.
