Jordan’s King to Visit Georgia
Jordan’s King Abdullah II is expected to visit Georgia in mid-June to further boost ties between the two countries, the Georgian president’s press office reported on May 21.
President Saakashvili visited Jordan on May 18-20 where he attended the Middle East World Economic Forum and a summit of G11 – a group uniting Croatia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Georgia, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Paraguay and Sri Lanka, which was initiated by the Jordanian king.
On the sidelines of these forums, Georgia and Jordan signed a framework agreement – the first of this kind between the two countries – which lays the foundation for comprehensive bilateral ties, the Georgian president’s press office said.
