Sokhumi Rejects Talks with Tbilisi for Now

Abkhaz Foreign Minister Sergey Shamba said on April 24 that Sokhumi had rejected any direct dialogue with Tbilisi for now, Apsnypress news agency reported.

On April 23 the Georgian side proposed bi-lateral talks on security issues and the return of internally displaced persons.

?After the Georgian side removes all obstacles that it has placed in the way of the Georgian-Abkhazian settlement, we can sit down and continue the negotiating process,? Shamba said.
