Russia Resumes Gas Supplies to Georgia

Russia?s energy giant Gazprom resumed natural gas supplies to Georgia on April 19, the state-run Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) reported.

Gazprom suspended gas supplies to Georgia on April 17, citing the necessity of repair work on the North-South gas pipeline.

For the past two days Georgia has been receiving four million cubic meters of natural gas per day from Azerbaijan?s Shah-Deniz field.

This will remain until April 20 when supplies will be reduced to one million, as envisaged in the previous agreement, according to the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation.
