NATO PA President Visits Georgia

President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Jose Lello arrived in Georgia on April 18 to participate in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s 65th Rose-Roth seminar to be held in Tbilisi on 19-21 April.

Georgia?s progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration will be at the centre of the seminar, jointly organized with the Parliament of Georgia. Parliamentarians, together with academics, experts and government officials, will discuss the South Caucasus? relations with the European Union and NATO, as well as the region?s security challenges, most notably the unresolved conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, a press release issued by the NATO PA reads. 

The meeting will be opened by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. As well Jos? Lello, Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze and Latvian Foreign Minister Artis Pabrikswill also participate.
