Rustavi 2 TV Founder to Consult Public Broadcaster

Erosi Kitsmarishvili, a founder and ex-owner of the Tbilisi based Rustavi 2 television, has been invited to consult chief of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).

?Kitsmarishvili was appointed as a consultant to the GPB?s Director-General today. I think he has the most successful experience in the Georgian media, so I have requested him to consult GPB in the reform process which is currently underway,? Tamar Kintsurashvili, GPB Director-General, told reporters on March 19.

Kitsmarishvili had to sell his shares in the Rustavi 2 TV, which he founded a decade ago, in summer, 2004 ? less than a year after the Rose Revolution.
