EU Special Envoy Visits Georgia
EU special representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby met with Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili in Tbilisi on March 16 and discussed issues related to conflict resolution in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
A special focus was made on ?the importance of intensifying the European Union?s role in the conflict regions,? the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
Minister Bezhuashvili also informed the EU envoy about the March 11 incident in upper Kodori Gorge.
The meeting was also attended by German Ambassador to Georgia Patricia Flor, as a representative of the current EU presidency.
