Turkish Pegasus, Georgian GIG to Set up New Air Carrier

Low-cost Turkish carrier Pegasus Airline and the Georgian Industrial Group (GIG) will set up a joint venture to launch a new air carrier company in Georgia, GIG top executive Natia Turnava told Mze TV on February 19.

?The new company will offer very affordable prices to Georgian consumers. Moreover, Pegasus Airlines offers a high level of safety, European service standards and reliability,? Natia Turnava said.

GIG is a conglomerate with interests in various businesses including media, industry and travel. It also owns Vipavia company, which conducts charter flights.
