Georgia Prepares to Host PfP Air Maneuvers
A team of NATO experts from the allied air component command launched a four-day visit to Georgia on January 23 to assess the country?s air base infrastructure, as Georgia plans to host the Cooperative Archer 2007 multinational military exercise under the NATO Partnership for Peace (PfP) program.
The survey team will inspect military aerodromes in Alekseevka and Marneuli, as well as the Vaziani military base during the visit.
The Georgian side will carry out all necessary infrastructure rehabilitation works of the military bases and aerodromes if needed, the Georgian Defense Ministry said in an information note.
