Abkhazia Plans to Set Up Constitutional Court
A commission on constitutional amendments in breakaway Abkhazia is drafting a law on the creation of a Constitutional Court, Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress reported.
?The Supreme Court can not take the duties of the Constitutional Court. We are building a state based on law and we should have a perfect legal system,? Sergey Bagapsh told the commission members in Sokhumi on January 12.
Bagapsh instructed the commission to finalize a draft of constitutional amendments within a week in order to present the proposals for public discussion.
