Alternative S.Ossetia Government Partially Formed

Tbilisi-loyal South Ossetian self-imposed President Dimitri Sanakoev signed several decrees on December 7 on the appointments of seven ministers in his 12-member cabinet.

As a result, Jemal Karkusov became the Interior Minister, Teimuraz Jerapov ? Economy Minister, Avtandil Gogidze ? Finance Minister, Konstantine Kevlishvili ? Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Maia Chigoeva-Tsaboshvili – Foreign Minister, Vladimir Sanakoev ? Minister of Information, Science and New Technologies, Tamaz Maisuradze ? Minister of Construction and Transport. Prime Minister Uruzmag Karkusov will lead the newly established alternative government.

The positions of Healthcare, Culture, Justice and Conflict Resolution Ministers still remain vacant. Foreign Minister Maia Chigoeva-Tsaboshvili said that the remaining ministerial positions will be occupied in the near future.
