Secessionist Leaders Call for Closer Ties with Russia
South Ossetian and Abkhaz leaders Eduard Kokoity and Sergey Bagapsh, respectively, who are currently in Moscow, denounced what they called the ?militarization? of the Georgian side and reiterated their regions? drive for closer ties with Russia.
Russian television channel NTV?s talks-show Sunday Evening hosted both of the leaders on November 19.
Sergey Bagapsh said on the talk-show that ?Abkhazia wants an associated relationship with Russia.?
?Moscow has always been, is and will always be our capital,? Eduard Kokoity said.
