New Security Chief Appointed in S.Ossetia
South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity appointed Boris Attoev as the chief of the security service, replacing Nikolai Dolgopolov, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported on November 9.
According to this report Attoev worked for the State Security Service in Russia’s Kabardino-Balkaria Republic, as well as in Moscow, and has had further experience working in Afghanistan.
Ex-security chief of the breakaway region Nikolai Dolgopolov was appointed on the position in March, 2006.
