Lavrov Comments on Georgia after Talks with EU
Foreign Ministers of Russia and Finland (the EU presidency) said after Permanent Partnership Council of EU and Russian Foreign Ministers in Brussels that Georgia was in the agenda of the meeting on November 3.
?I hope that everyone understand real situation surrounding Russo-Georgian relations, at least those who know real facts. I have met with Gela Bezhuashvili [the Georgian Foreign Minister in Moscow on November 1] and after our conversation I am absolutely sure that he also understands it very well. First of all – as it was required by the UN Security Council resolution ? [it is necessary] to stop hostile rhetoric, to stop provocations and to follow resolutions of the Security Council and all the previous agreements which have been reached in frames of the South Ossetian and Abkhaz conflict resolution process,? Lavrov said at a news conference after talks with the EU Foreign Ministers.
