Georgia Criticizes Russia at CIS Ministerial

At a meeting of CIS Foreign Ministers in Minsk on October 16 the Georgian delegation criticized Russia over its ?inappropriate policy? towards Georgia, saying that Moscow has imposed not only economic sanctions against Georgia, but also has launched a ?xenophobic campaign? against ethnic Georgians in Russia.

Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Manjgaladze represented the Georgian side at the Foreign Ministers summit. State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Merab Antadze was also in the delegation.

In his address, Manjgaladze also slammed Russian-led peacekeeping operations in the Abkhaz and South Ossetian conflict zones and called on the Russian Federation to ?constructively? resolve bilateral issues.
