PM Comments on Khaindrava’s Dismissal
Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli hinted on July 21 that ex-State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava’s dismissal was directed towards prevention of emergence cracks in the cabinet.
“One of the major achievements of the Georgian government is its unity and ability to work jointly as one team,” PM Nogaideli said in an interview with Rustavi 2 television while responding to a journalist question what was a motive behind Khaindrava’s dismissal.
Khaindrava and Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili exchanged barbs recently.
Khaindrava was expected to meet President Saakashvili on July 21, but the meeting was postponed.
