Mine Injures Peacekeeper in South Ossetia
A serviceman from the Russian peacekeeping battalion was badly injured as a result of mine explosion in the South Ossetian conflict zone, the Georgian and South Ossetian sources reported on July 15.
The South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported that the incident occurred overnight on Saturday near the Pauk (Russian for spider) observation post, a key point where major roads pass by.
