Georgian Foreign Minister, OSCE Envoy Discuss S.Ossetia
Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili held talks with Head of the OSCE Mission to Georgia Roy Reeve on July 10, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
Gela Bezhuashvili briefed the OSCE envoy over the recent development in the South Ossetian conflict zone, including those related with closure of the Zemo Larsi border checkpoint by Russia, which has also influencied on the situation in the conflict zone, and murder of the Secretary of National Security Council of breakaway South Ossetia.
The Georgian Minister stressed that all these developments aimed at escalating the tensions in the conflict zone and in Georgia, as a whole, as well as at thwarting the process of peaceful resolution of conflict and implementation of the economic rehabilitation projects approved by the OSCE Donors Confernce in Brussels.
The Georgian side reiterated its firm position towards peaceful resolution of the conflict as endorsed by the peace plan, according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
