Saakashvili Meets Turkish Foreign Minister in Washington

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul in Washington on July 5, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.

Both Gul and Saakashvili are visiting Washington for talks with the U.S. leadership.
 
Economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as the issue of Georgia?s Euro-Atlantic integration was discussed during the meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister.
 
The Georgian President will meet with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul on July 12.
