Tbilisi, Tskhinvali Prepare for Talks between Interior Ministers

Georgian Deputy State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Volsky and the representatives of the Interior Ministry are in Tskhinvali on June 21 to arrange talks between the Georgian Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili and Interior Minister of breakaway South Ossetia Mikhail Mindzaev.

Officials are also expected to agree date and venue of the meeting, according to the Georgian State Minister?s Office.

Talks between the Interior Ministers were agreed for several times already in frames of the Joint Control Commission ? a negotiating body involving the Georgian, South Ossetian, Russian and Russia?s North Ossetian side, but no meeting of this kind has occurred yet.
