Khaindrava: Georgian, S.Ossetian Interior Ministers to Meet Soon

Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava said on June 19 upon his arrival from Tskhinvali, that the Georgian and South Ossetian Interior Ministers will hold talks in the near future. However, he did not specify either the venue or the date of possible meeting.
 
?This meeting is very important, because coordination is necessary in the region to ensure that our peace plan is implemented,? Khaindrava told reporters.
 
Meanwhile, Boris Chochiev, Deputy Chairman of the breakaway region?s government and Chief Negotiator for the South Ossetian side, said that a meeting of the Interior Ministers will be held within the frames of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC) ? involving the Georgian, South Ossetian, Russian and Russia?s North Ossetian side – and the Interior Ministers of all the four sides will participate in this meeting, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported.


Talks between the Interior Ministers were agreed for several times already in frames of the JCC, but no meeting of this kind has occurred yet.
