PM Nogaideli Meets EU Officials in Brussels
During his visit to Brussels Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli held talks with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and EU Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs on June 14-15.
Javier Solana and Zurab Nogaideli discussed how to help create movement in the conflict resolution processes on South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Solana underlined that the EU would continue to assist in the conflict-resolution process and reaffirmed the EU’s support for Georgia’s territorial integrity, the EU foreign policy chief?s press office reported.
Solana has also welcomed the meeting between the Presidents of Russia and Georgia on June 13 and stressed the importance to build on this dialogue and to look for ways to enhance mutual confidence between the parties.
During the talks with EU Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs, PM Nogaideli discussed Georgia?s transit potential for transporting energy resources to Europe, the Georgian PM?s press office reported.
