Saakashvili: Judges will be Appointed for Life

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on June 10 that a new initiative envisaging the appointment of judges for life will be submitted to the Parliament for approval soon.
 
He said while speaking at an official ceremony of the opening of the new building of Court of Appeals in Tbilisi that the appointment of judges for a term of 10 years was a temporary step, which served during a ?transition period.?
