Abkhaz Hearings postponed

Irakli Alasania, the Georgian President”s aide for the Abkhaz conflict issues, will brief lawmakers on Tbilisi-proposed “roadmap” on peaceful resolution of the Abkhaz conflict reportedly at the parliamentary session on June 9.

Hearings were initially planned for June 8; reasons of postponement are not reported.

Foreign Minister of breakaway Abkhazia Sergey Shamba said on June 1 that Tbilisi”s proposals over a peace plan will fail to help move the two sides” positions closer.
