Russia Pulls out Military Equipment from Batumi
3 infantry fighting vehicles (BMP), 24 trucks loaded with field kitchens, bakeries and 28 trailers were pulled out from Russia’s military base in Batumi, the Adjara Autonomous Republic, early on May 25, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported.
A train loaded with military hardware and equipment will head towards the Russian military base in Gyumri, Armenia.
According to the Georgian Defense Ministry, three Russian military units in Batumi will be completely vacated by July 22.
In addition, ten trucks loaded with 125mm shells were also removed from the Akhalkalaki military base on May 25 and headed towards the Russian base in Gyumri.
