Georgia Hails Ukraine Elections

The Georgian Foreign Ministry welcomed the March 26 parliamentary election in Ukraine, describing them as “free and fair.”
 
“Sunday’s fair and transparent elections are a clear testimony of the emergence of a new robust democracy in Europe,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on March 28.
 
“We believe that the international community will appreciate the high level of democracy in Ukraine… and will consolidate its efforts to facilitate Ukraine’s integration into Europe,” the statement reads.
